Why my teeth are is so important?

Your teeth vary in shape and size depending on where they are in your mouth. Teeth help us to chew and digest food. They help us to talk, and to pronounce different sounds clearly. Teeth assist to give our face a good & a perfect shape. A healthy smile can be a great quality; and because this is so important, it makes sense to give your teeth the best care possible.

How should I care my teeth?

Here are a few regular dental tips, used to care your teeth without any cost.

  • Brush at least twice a day
  • Use fluoride toothpaste
  • Floss daily to remove plaque from between your teeth
  • Limit sugary or starchy foods, especially sticky snacks, also avoid chocolates and tobacco and limit sodas, juices & coffee
  • Use mouthwash and clean your tongue
  • Protect your teeth from injury
  • See your dentist for regular check-ups

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I BRUSH AND FLOSS?

Brushing and flossing helps to control the plaque and bacteria that causes dental disease. Daily flossing is the best way to clean between the teeth and under the gum line. Electric toothbrushes are also recommended. They are easy to use and can remove plaque efficiently. Brush your teeth at least twice a day (especially before going to bed at night) with an ADA approved soft bristle toothbrush and toothpaste. Brush at a 45 degree angle to the gums, gently using a small, circular motion, that protects you always feel the bristles on the gums. Brush the outer, inner, and biting surfaces of each tooth.

HOW CAN I PREVENT CAVITIES?

You can evidently the number of cavities you get. Always spend two to three minutes brushing your teeth. It takes long time to get rid of the bacteria which destroy tooth enamel. Do not brush too hard. It takes very little pressure to remove bacteria and plaque. 
Watch the sugar you eat. There is sugar in candy, fruits, crackers and chips. These are the foods that the produce bacteria in your mouth. Be mindful of foods like raisins and peanut butter that stick to your teeth. They can make a constant supply for the bacteria eating into your teeth. Try to minimize the times during the day when sweets are eaten and clean your teeth afterwards.
