Lose Your Harmful Visceral Belly Fat So It Doesn't Hurt Or Kill You

Lose your visceral belly fat before it does you in.  That’s right, it really is dangerous to have too much fat stored in between the internal organs in your stomach area.  Start healthy eating and exercise habits immediately.  You must lose that awful fat now.  It can cause severe health problems and even kill you.

There is also another type of fat called subcutaneous fat which I will not be referring to in this article.  It collects under your skin and does not cause the health risks that visceral fat causes.  Keep in mind that too much of any type of fat is not good for your body.

Not only does your visceral intra-abdominal fat make you look unsightly, it also secretes substances into your system known as fat-derived adipokines which raise your risk of atherosclerosis, hardening of the arteries.  Atherosclerosis can completely block your arteries and cause a heart attack.

There is another hormone call resistin produced by your dangerous organ fat.  This hormone leads to high blood sugar, an independent risk factor for diabetes and heart disease.  There is a strong association in humans between elevated levels of resistin and Type 2 diabetes because it makes bodies resistant to insulin.

Abdominal fat also produces plasminogen activator inhibitor.  It is suggested to be associated with an increased risk of venous thromboembolism, the formation of blood clots.  Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) mainly affects the large veins in the lower leg and thigh.  The clots can block blood flow.  If the clots break off and move through the bloodstream, they can get stuck in the brain, lungs, heart, or other area, leading to severe damage.

While I’m at it, let me mention that belly fat also produces too much interleukin-6.  It is a chemical that causes inflammation which can trigger pieces of plaque to break off the walls of your arteries and block the flow of blood to the heart which may cause a heart attack.

Two more unfavorable compounds produced by visceral stomach fat are angiotensin and adiponectin.  Angiotensin is a protein that causes blood vessels to constrict, and drives your blood pressure up.  Adiponectin is a good anti-inflamatory compound that helps counteract the effects of interleukin-6.  Unfortunately as fat cells grow larger, the amount of adiponectin they create usually decreases.

You must take this information seriously and work at reducing your visceral fat immediately.  Exercise moderately and regularly, every day if possible.  Walking is one of the best ways to lose your belly fat.  Also incorporate eating a well balanced low-fat, low-sugar, and low-salt diet into your quest for less killer fat. I wish you good health.
