This diet has a very simple structure. For a 24 hour period you can eat as much as you want, whenever you want. That 24 hours is designed for eating. The next 24 hours is a fast, which means you can only have water. There is absolutely no limit on the amount of food you can eat. What is even more exciting is that there is no limitations on the types of food you can eat. It doesn’t matter if you’re eating greasy fast food burgers, they’re fine if you’re eating them during your eating period.
Getting healthy with intermittent fasting doesn’t’ seem quite natural to most people. I would argue that eating three meals a day, everyday, isn’t natural. If you look at past human beings that were forced to eat, intermittent fasting resembled their eating habits. If they caught a big animal, they ate and they consumed it all because there was no refrigeration. If they didn’t catch a thing, they had to go without. That seems pretty fitting to this type of eating.
