I have some competitive eating tips I want to share with you that can really help you in this sport. This is a relatively new sport that has been rapidly growing over the last few years. It wasn’t too long ago that it was just another struggling sport barely getting by. Since than the sport has grown and even got onto television. Since than there has been a new breed of athlete and new champions crowned. This is a sport to get into now because it is so easy to dominate and become a super star. People just get off the couch and they’re competing. There is a lot of different training tactics and techniques which I’m going to share with you to help you be a better competitive eater.
Simulate Food
Simulation is an important part of success and my most important competitive eating tip. Simulation allows you to gain first hand exerience at the competition, giving you an edge. But sometimes it is easy and sometimes it is hard. For example, a hot dog eating contest, you just have to stop at the grocery store and buy some. But if you’re doing something a little different like meatballs, it is much harder to simulate the size and density of the competitions meatballs. Trying your best to simulate it is important to practice and get used to the process.
Eating Rate
The key to winning at competitive eating is having a good rate or pace in which you eat. It’s like running a marathon, you want to set a pace and hold it. This means you have to learn to control the rate in which food comes into your mouth. You want to make sure you’re getting enough in where you can process it all. This is the key to being successful.
