  • Pre cooked lentils – 1 cup
  • Finely minced garlic – 4 cloves

  • Chopped sweet onion – 1

  • Water

Preparation – Take a large saucepan and put some margarine over low heat. Wait until it melts. Now gently sauté garlic and sweet onion until they browned. Spread black pepper. Add lentil and warm it. Now scrape the mixture into a food processor bowl with metal chopping blades. Process it until the mixture becomes smooth. Pour water occasionally. Lentil salad is very tasty and healthy at the same time. You can cook lentils with carrots, garlic and celery. This recipe will take just 45 minutes to be prepared. The ingredients you need for lentil salad include:

  • Lentils – 3 cups
  • Peeled garlic – 2 cloves
  • Water
  • Carrot – 1 cut into 2 pieces
  • Onion – 1
  • Celery stalk – 1 cut into 2 pieces
  • Tomato wedges
  • Salt
  • Bay leaves – 2
  • Ground pepper
  • Thinly sliced green onions – 6
  • Minced parsley – ¼ cup

Ingredients for Lemon French Dressing:

  • Olive oil – 1/3 cup
  • Mashed garlic clove – 1
  • Dried thyme – ¼ teaspoon
  • Fresh lemon juice – 3 tablespoons
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation: Take a large saucepan and put the lentils into the saucepan. Add water and boil the lentils over low heat. Now add celery, bay leaves, carrot, garlic and onion. Heat the mixture until the lentils become tender. Make sure that the lentils are not mushy. The next step is to drain the lentils. Then remove the vegetables. Put the lentils into a bowl. Add salt and pepper. It’s time to cool the lentils. So cover the bowl and refrigerate the mixture for 2 hours. Now you can garnish the salad with tomatoes and sprinkle the parsley. Before serving add Lemon French Dressing. Combine garlic, lemon juice, thyme, olive oil, sale and pepper. Mix everything well and serve with roast meats.
